Click to see the full post. Considering some potential personal difficulties that is hard to describe, I would like to transfer the full control of this website to someone trustworthy.
I will transfer the xjtu.app and xjtu.men domain from my Cloudflare account to your registrar. Then transfer Discourse data and various accompanying services to the your newly setup-ed VPS(virtual private server).
Monetary Requirements:
To run this website, you have to pay for various services, including:
- domain renewal: ~$5/year[^1], and have already been renewed to June, 2029
- VPS renewal: ~$15/month
- transactional email service: usually free if usage is within free tier limit(300 emails/day)
- addon services: OpenAI’s GPT API invocation, various AI services(e.g. NSFW filtering) that is self-hosted on a machine with GPU
Effort requirements:
Due the development of automation tools, little effort is required to get the software running and keep it updated. Moderation can be a pain. Luckily we get many @staff and @trust_level_4 folks who can do this job too.
