The older you get, the farther away happiness seems.
Before you begin, ask yourself: what is happiness?
You will then get a sequence composed of infinite contradictions, conflicts, and arguments.
This issue was already solved by Jack Ma; he pointed out: 996 is a blessing.
Lowering expectations and increasing satisfaction is happiness to me.
Use the power of idealism.
Unhappiness is a disease; being unhappy is like having a small hole opened in the heart, causing all joy to slip away, while happiness is like a wound healing.
Always in just the right anticipation, like there’s always a package on the way.
I definitely have a package to pick up tomorrow morning.
The less information you take in, the more ignorant you become, the happier you are; you can see that well‑fed cats and dogs are much happier than you.
Gaining happiness at the same time means giving up freedom
And the ultimate goal of happiness means
As long as there’s TikTok to scroll through, it’s happiness.
After browsing through hundreds of fairy tales that have not been altered by later generations, I found that they all share this structure: two completely different versions of the ending. Which one is the real one?
You can refer to Dirac’s experience of becoming happy
In his early years Dirac was a seeker of truth
“ I have never seen a person truly like another person— I think such things do not exist outside of novels ”;
“ When I was a child I realized that the best strategy is to place happiness on oneself rather than on others ”.
“ You should know that I do not love you, pretending to love you is wrong. I have never loved, so I cannot understand such subtle emotions. ”
Unfortunately he eventually fell
“ You made me a flesh‑and‑blood person. Even if I achieve no accomplishments in my future work, living with you I can be happy. ”
Reference to Moses’ Ten Commandments
I am Bernkastel, your god, who once led you out of Egypt from the house of slavery.
First Commandment
Apart from me, you shall have no other gods.
Second Commandment
You shall not carve idols for yourself, nor make any likeness resembling heaven, earth, the underworld, or the myriad things in the water. Do not bow to those images; nor serve them, because I, Bernkastel, your god, am a jealous god.
The first time I saw the Ten Commandments I thought the first three were very nonsensical, yet they rank very high, which I could not understand.
Now I understand that by creating a metaphysical image, one can, when faced with countless temptations of the “devil,” overcome and control oneself, and through lifelong cultivation eventually reach a state of complete freedom, unbound, avoiding the fate of those who have spent a lifetime never finding themselves.
In the picture above, the abandoned child betrayed the oath to serve only Bernkastel, thus failing the “North Wind and the Sun” devil’s test, and returned to Egypt as a slave.
Metaphysical does not exist, but there is Zhuangzi’s “the usefulness of the useless,” just as Voltaire said, “If it does not exist, then create one.” Existing in one’s own neural synapses, the final place of cessation and peace is safer than being anchored elsewhere. The relationship between slavery, freedom, and happiness is probably like this.
Why did such a change happen? I completely cannot understand.
Is there a long-term solution where freedom and happiness can coexist?
I haven’t figured out this question yet, and would like to discuss it with fellow members.
I can imagine what the portrait of the person who can make you fall looks like.
What awaits you is either heaven or hell (the odds are a bit higher for that), and most people simply can’t attract you.
I have no idea what it looks like?
I hope you can explain in detail?
If you choose happiness, you will lose everything
If you choose freedom, then both happiness and freedom will exist
