I also found that China’s restaurant industry especially lacks single-person meals, possibly because this demand mainly comes from online (takeout). Especially in places like Xi’an, there is a lack of large chain fast‑food restaurants; small eateries generally sell very repetitive noodle dishes. Sometimes when a person truly can’t find anything to eat, they can only go to KFC or McDonald’s. But it’s really getting boring.
