Minecraft Server Setup Experience Sharing

From Self-built NAS/server, seeking guidance continue discussion:

Now have set up multiple Minecraft vanilla or mod servers, with varying scopes, such as

  1. Same LAN
  2. Same campus network
  3. Public internet

The first two went relatively smoothly, and now I want to upgrade this server on the public internet. I have roughly these ideas:

  1. Continue using the current panel service; after upgrading the cost would be about 2 CNY per day (billing details not yet clear)
  2. Use Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, etc.; not sure which is more suitable
  3. Return to the original small host and open the server via NAT traversal or similar methods (as they say, path‑dependency); the cost would be almost only electricity, and performance is good

Friends, any better ideas? Or any suggestions for the three proposals above?

The performance is not great, and the price is expensive

I’m using this, but my dorm loses power at night, you can use Sakura frp or purchase Alibaba Cloud’s 99 plan to set up your own frp service

Current optimal solution
If you have IPv6, you can directly bind a domain name with DDNS, which even eliminates the need for internal network penetration.

This is indeed a good method, but unfortunately testing found that the IPv6 address assigned by the campus network differs from the public one, possibly due to NAT66.

nat66 is definitely not a public address, but why not just use the education network’s dial‑up? The one you get should be the education network’s public IPv6, right?

Thank you very much; after research and discussion, this solution should indeed be feasible, and I’ll try it over the next couple of days.
